Nice southern Pacific. Looks like she got away? Also, that Desert horned lizard looks interesting. The horns look fairly short and the coloration is unique. Good post. Also, that "street walker" looked pretty gay.
ReplyDeleteHey Keegan, this is Devin, Jeffs cousin. Jeff pointed me out to your blog, I have been enjoying your posts. Jeff and I have talked about and hope to make a quick trip to Phoenix sometime, we love Arizona herping. That is a nice looking horned lizard, but it is not a Desert Horned Lizard, it is actually a Coast Horned Lizard (or Blainvilles Horned lizard) which actually makes it a much cooler lizard. They are a lot less common, even threatened in most areas. Anyways just thought I would introduce myself and let you know on that horned lizard. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteSo unfortunately the the pacific rattler did not escape the car tires the night before I found it on the road and moved it off to the side for the picture. Still looked pretty though. Thanks for the heads up Devin, I didn't know those guys were that far east, I guess it is the two rows of side scales that gives it away. Nice eye. Welcome to the site and I hope too see you two down here soon.
